In Brightest Day, In Blackest BLAH BLAH BLAH

DC comics Blackest Night mega event has single handily got me back into comics after a bit of a falling out after Infinite Crisis. Geoff Johns has been building up to Blackest Night since he kick started Green Lantern and for the most part it has lived up to the hype. We are finally nearing the end of the Blackest Night and many fans were left wondering what was in store for us next, well thanks to The Source (DC's Blog) we have our answer and its not really a surprise.

After Blackest Night wraps up comes the next huge DC event Brightest Day!


Brightest Day will be a 26 issue Bi-Weekly (BOO) series from the creative team of Geoff Johns and Peter Tomasi (writers) as well as a few different artist that are being kept under wraps, though the artist for Brightest Day #0 was revealed to be Fernando Pasarin.

Also revealed was that the series would encompass the entire DC Universe and have several books that used the Brightest Day banner (much like Blackest Night). All in all color me excited, I've been loving Blackest Night and have been looking forward to the logical introduction of the White Lantern(s) and judging by the teaser art thats what we are in store for. In my eyes Johns can do no wrong with Green Lantern so heres hoping he keeps his track record intact.

Keep on eye on The Source as more is being revealed about Brightest Day all day.
