Introducing the Nerdgasm, a quick recap of the top news bits of the week.
1. Lively sees GREEN

Blake Lively has signed up to co-star with Ryan Reynolds in 2011's Green Lantern. Lively will play Carol Ferris who is the love interest of Reynold's Hal Jordan. For the past few weeks some of the names being tossed around have been Keri Russel, Diane Kruger, Eva Green and Jennifer Gardner. I would have actually prefered Keri Russel but at the end of the day Lively is HOT and appearntly impressed the studio enough to look past her young age (the character is supposed to be in her early 30's, Lively is 22). Listen Warner Brothers just tell me who's playing Sinestro and if you say Jackie Earl Haley I'm going to vomit.
(Bonus points for being able to post that pic of Lively, WOW)
2. NBC are Morons

NBC has decided to give up on there little Jay Leno experiment and in turn screws both Conan and Jimmy Fallon. Leno's show will be moving back to 11 which will bump Conan either 30 minutes or a full hour which will bump Fallon the same amount. Basically Leno is to stuburn to just hang it up and now is going to screw up the much more funny O'Brian and Fallon. The rumor going around is that NBC has lost close to 200 million bucks on Leno's new show. Word is that the various show host have the week to decide how they wanna play the situation. If I were Conan I'd walk and get the respect I deserved elsewhere.
NBC=FAIL
3. Avatar continues to rule the world

Avatar continues to make boat loads of dough. In it's fourth weekend the film grossed 48.5 million at the U.S. box office giving it the best 4th weekend ever (beating out Titanic) it also added an additional 143 million internationally brining its worldwide total to 1.335 Billion! It now sits a little over 500 million away fro Titanic which doesn't seem all that unobtainable anymore. Will Cameron's film beat Cameron's film?
Thats it for the Nerdgasm, tune in next week.
