Big F'ing Robots get Big F'ing Actors

Michael Bay today announced on his website that he has signed up (willingly???) three newcomers to his Transformers Trilogy and get this...They are some damn fine actors to boot!

The three (un)lucky souls are John Malkovich, Frances McDormand and Ken Jeong. I'm sure everyone is wondering just how Michael Bay is able to get such A-list actors time after time for his popcorn flicks. Well it beats me but as one of the minority who actually turns off their brain and enjoys the Transformers movies I must say I'm pretty excited. Malkovich is said to be playing Shia's first boss...OK no word yet who the others are playing.

Prepare to be urinated on by giant robots!

John Malkovich really needs no introduction I mean the man has a movie all about being well him. Franes McDormand made a name for herself in Fargo and has since been in loads including Burn After Reading, North Country and Almost Famous to name a few. Ken Jeong is the "newcomer" of the three but he's probably the biggest currently of the three considering he was in Knocked Up, The Hangover and weekly o the FANTASTIC sitcom Community.

Bay also revealed that one of the Autobots in the flick will be a Ferrari...NICE

Anyway here's the whole post from the Bay Blog:

Hey, it's been a long time since I've posted. Just been a little busy.

Transformers 3 has been going very well. We are going to shoot in LA, Chicago, Washington DC, Florida, Texas, Africa, Moscow, and China. On the talent front, we just locked in Frances McDormand and John Malkovich. Both amazing actors I've always wanted to work with. We also just got Ken Jeong, he is the super funny actor stuck in the trunk from “Hangover” and the Doctor from “Knocked Up.”

We start shooting pre-shoots in about one month.

I also was at a Ferrari charity event this week raising money for a hospital being built by Ferrari in Haiti. I announced that night the newest Autobot to join Transformers: the Ferrari 458 Italia.

I also want to thank everyone on this site that donated to the Make -A-Wish charity. We raised $20,000 which I will personally be matching. This is a great charity where they make wishes come true for kids who are very ill. We have had many Kids from Make-A-Wish visit us on our Transformers sets and this time we will be posting video of their visits on Transformers 3.

Also to update the post from last week, Chris Evans is now OFFICIALLY Captain America. So there you go, get cracking and make a movie that's watchable Joe Johnson we don't want another Jurassic Park 3 on our hands!
