Boba Fett > Jango Fett=Green Lantern

Yesterday was my Birthday (YEA ME!) and it was also as if by fate the first day of shooting on Green Lantern. I can't say I've always been a GL fan but I can say that over the past 4-5 years (since I got back into comics) that Hal Jordan and crew have become my favorite part of comics. I love the concepts and stories that Geoff Johns and crew have been weaving since the rebirth of Hal Jordan. The gods of Nerdom has seen fit to make the stars align and start filming my most anticipated comic movie (Yes more so than Dark Knight!) on the day of my birth. Anyway there is some awesome news to report as Abin Sur, aka The original Green Lantern from our sector has been cast and will be played by Jango Fett himself Temuera Morrison. Morrison is a good character actor and easily one of the best parts of Attack of the Clones so I dog this info.
Incase you havnt been keeping up this flick has got quite the creative team behind it:
Director-Martin Campbell
(Goldeneye, Casino Royale)
Hal Jordan-Ryan Reynolds
(Waiting, X-Men Origins:Wolverine)
Carol Ferris-Blake Lively
(Gossip Girl)
Sinestro-Mark Strong
(Sherlock Holmes, Robin Hood, Body of Lies)
Hector Hammond-Peter Sarsgaard
(Jarhead, Garden State)
Senator Hammond-Tim Robbins
(Shawshank Redemption)
Abin Sur-Temuera Morrison
(Attack of the Clones)
not to mention Academy Award winning production designer Grant Major (LotR:Return of the King)
and Academy Award winning Cinematographer Dion Beebe
(Memoirs of a Geisha, Equilibrium)
For my money the cast is one of the most solid for a comic flick I've seen (second to Dark Knight) with Lively being the only wildcard of the bunch and the actual production crew itself seems like a cant miss, if anything the movie will look beautiful! I'm looking forward to seeing who will be cast as Kilowog (or the voice of Kilowog) as well as how the various alien creatures will be realized, hopefully a nice mix of practical and CG. I can't wait, this movie is what got me to buy my ticket to Comic-Con this year...God I hope there is a trailer at Comic-Con. Happy B-Day to me!
